Hi, I’m Dr. Heath Cobb

I’m a pediatrician who believes every parent deserves easy access to trusted, down-to-earth advice when they need it most.

After years working in a busy community hospital, I saw just how often parents simply needed a calm, reliable voice to turn to—someone who could help them make sense of a fever, feeding issue, or those “should I be worried?” moments we all face.

That’s why I started this phone consult service: to make expert pediatric guidance simple, supportive, and close to home. You don’t need an appointment, a waiting room, or another trip across town—just a quick call or text to get real, caring advice from someone who’s been there (as a doctor and as a parent).

This idea really grew out of my own experience helping family and friends. When my sister or a close friend has a late-night question, they can reach out for quick reassurance and skip the stress (and expense) of an urgent care visit. I realized every parent deserves that kind of peace of mind.

So that’s what I’m offering—trusted, family-style pediatric support, whenever you need it.

I’m excited to get to know your family and help you through milestones, sniffles, and everything in between.

I spent my childhood between Southern California and Layton, Utah, and later served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Panama.

My wife, Kertsi, and I met while attending Weber State University. I graduated in Clinical Laboratory Science and trained as a private pilot before beginning medical school-an experience that helped me learn the importance of paying attention to detail, problem-solving, and staying calm in any situation.

We’ve called South Ogden home since 2012, and have loved raising our four daughters, ages 19, 17, 15, and 11, in this community. As a family, we love to travel, find adventures in everyday life, and spend as much time outdoors as possible. Whether we’re hiking, road-tripping, or just enjoying a quiet evening outside, we’re happiest when we’re together.

When my daughters started violin lessons, I decided to join in—and what began as a way to connect with them turned into a genuine passion for learning music. It’s been a fun reminder that it’s never too late to pick up something new.

I’ve worked as a Pediatrician and Pediatric Hospitalist for 13 years. I’m board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine, and I love what I do—helping kids heal, grow, and thrive while supporting families through all the ups and downs of childhood.
